Namrata Joshipura
After completing a degree from the world-renowned Fashion Institute of Technology in India in 1996, Namrata Joshipuria launched her eponymous label. Joshipura's designs are marked by their transcendent character, ability to go beyond geographical and cultural borders and appeal to people of all ages, races, and perspectives. In addition to her accomplishments, she enjoys hiking and finds her peace in rap music.

The Beginning…
Despite initial setbacks, like the rejection at the first attempt of her application to NIFT Delhi, Namrata Joshipura never gave up and ultimately managed to secure a position. Joshipura started her label after working with and gathering expertise with established designer Suneet Varma. Even though she missed the boom of Indian retail fashion that occurred at the beginning of 2000 in New York, she was able to return to the scene of Indian fashion in 2004 successfully. From there, she re-engaged her career enthusiastically, occupying a prime spot among the country's leading designers.
