Sushant Abrol
Sushant Abrol, a designer from Noida, deploys poetry, nature and the memory of his deceased brother, an Air Force pilot, as his sources of motivation for his military-inspired label, Countrymade. He unveiled his first "Homecoming" collection at the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair. Abrol's design art has ideas of life, death, bravery, and grit gained from the defence forces.

The Beginning…
After graduating from the North Indian Institute of Fashion Technology (NIIFT) Mohali in 2010, Sushant Abrol earned invaluable experience working with a few export and design houses, including well-known labels like Rohit Bal. His idea to launch his own label was inspired by his late brother, an Indian Air Force pilot. This void deeply affected Sushant; he was comforted in writing poetry. His poignant poetry, especially "Beyond the Clouds," became the namesake and inspiration for his brand's first collection.
Label Countrymade
Countrymade focuses on ethical and environmentally friendly fashion. The label prioritises handloom fabrics from Banaras, Bhagalpur, Bengal, and Ahmedabad regions. Countrymade prioritises sustainable practices and traditional craftsmanship by ensuring responsible sourcing for fabrics like silks, linens, and handwoven denim. Countrymade views it as a moral imperative to use only natural fibres for its garment production, making its creations trendy and eco-friendly. The brand reflects the designer’s devotion to designing fashion that is both pleasing and sustainable, thus leaving a positive mark on the planet.
