Priya was always academically strong. She thought that she would pursue a Masters degree in Business, but her creative side took over and she pursued Fashion Design instead. Priya is a purebred Bombay girl! Her childhood consisted of playing all kinds of sports and going to all kinds of art classes. Swimming and playing badminton are the two things she still loves, and staying active has always been a part of her lifestyle. She’s extremely social and loves meeting new people, making friends, and traveling.

The beginning…
Priya started off as an Intern with Sheetal Design Studio under Hemant Trivedi and Aki Narula. She launched her first brand Priya & Chintans in 2003. It showcased at various fashion weeks, and it had 4 stores around the globe - Mumbai, Delhi, New Jersey and Atlanta. In 2012, she launched her own label Priya Chhabria.

Made for the Modern Woman, label Priya Chhabria caters to someone who is stylish yet very elegant. The label combines western silhouettes and sensibilities with Indian embroideries and Indian drapes, eventually creating something that would suit different body types, but also be high on style and comfort. Pastels, soft hues, thread work and chikankari are the 4 things that are always present in Priya Chhabria’s designs.
